Christmas & Holiday Lighting Installation in Corpus Christi, TX

Showcase Decorative Lighting has designed and installed Christmas lighting in Corpus Christi and the Coastal Bend since 2005. We are the area's Christmas Decor franchise, which means you get a nationally proven holiday lighting program delivered by a local crew that knows coastal homes, coastal weather and coastal trees.

It is a full-service program. We design the display, supply every light and piece of greenery, install it, keep it working through the season, take it down and store it. You do not buy lights, climb a ladder or look for attic space in January.

What professional Christmas light installation includes

Most people call us for one of three reasons: they are done with ladders, they want the house to look better than it does when they decorate it themselves, or they do not have the weekends to spare. The program covers all three.

  • Design: a display planned around your home, your landscape and your budget
  • Product: commercial-grade LED lights, timers, cords, clips, wreaths and garland, all supplied by us
  • Installation: done by our own crew
  • Maintenance: service during the season if a bulb goes out or weather knocks something loose
  • Takedown: we return after the holidays and remove everything
  • Storage: your display is stored until next season

A design built around your home

Good holiday lighting follows the architecture. We start with the lines that define your home from the street, usually the roofline, ridges and gables, then decide what else deserves light: windows and doors, columns, the entry, walkways, beds and trees.

On the Coastal Bend that almost always includes palms and live oaks. A wrapped palm trunk or a lit oak canopy does more for a front yard than another strand along the gutter, and it is the part of the job that is hardest to do well on your own.

Color is your call. Warm white is the classic choice and suits nearly every home. Red and green, multicolor, cool white and custom combinations are all available. Greenery such as wreaths, garland and bows adds a finished look that reads well in daylight too, which matters when the house is seen at four in the afternoon as often as at nine at night.

The lights and greenery we use

We supply everything, so there is nothing for you to buy. Commercial-grade lighting is brighter and more consistent in color than retail strands, and it is made to be installed, serviced and reinstalled year after year.

LED matters for more than the power bill. LED lines draw a fraction of the electricity that older incandescent bulbs did, so more of your home can be lit from ordinary outdoor outlets, and the bulbs run cool.

Timers are part of the installation. Your display turns on at dusk and off when you want it to, without anyone walking outside to plug it in.

Built for coastal weather

Holiday displays here have to live with salt air, humidity and the wind that comes off the bay. That shapes how a display is installed: how lines are secured, where connections sit and how power is routed, so a December norther or a week of fog does not leave half the house dark.

It is also why in-season maintenance is part of the program. If something goes out or comes loose, call us and we will come out and fix it.

When to book and when we install

Our calendar fills from the top down, so the earlier you book, the more choice you have on installation dates. Many returning clients confirm in late summer or early fall.

Installations run through the fall so displays are ready to switch on for the season, and takedown follows after the holidays. If you have a date in mind, such as a party or a family visit, tell us when you request your quote.

What affects the price

Every display is quoted individually, and the quote is free. The main factors are:

  • The length and height of the roofline, and whether the home is one story or two
  • How many trees, palms and shrubs you want lit, and how large they are
  • Greenery such as wreaths, garland and bows
  • Access to the areas being decorated and where power is available

If you have a budget in mind, say so. We would rather design a display that fits it well than quote something you will not use. Many clients start with the roofline and entry, then add trees or greenery in later seasons.

What we can light

  • Rooflines, ridges, gables and dormers
  • Windows, doors and garage openings
  • Columns, porch railings and balconies
  • Live oaks, palms and ornamental trees, trunk and canopy
  • Shrubs and hedges
  • Walks and driveways, with ground lighting
  • Fences, gates and entry columns
  • Docks, decks and the waterside of canal and bayfront homes
  • Wreaths, garland, bows and other lit greenery

You do not have to do all of it. A good design chooses the features that give the most effect from the street and leaves the rest alone.

Choosing your colors

Warm white is the most requested look and the most forgiving. It suits every style of house and looks rich against brick, stucco and stone. Cool white is crisper and reads as icy and modern. Multicolor is the cheerful, nostalgic choice, and it is making a comeback.

Combinations work well too: red and white for a candy cane look, red and green on alternating bulbs, or a white roofline with colored trees. If you want to change colors from year to year without changing the lights, ask about RGB color-changing lighting or a permanent roofline system.

Display styles that suit the Coastal Bend

The classic: a clean roofline, a wreath over the garage and lit shrubs along the front. It is tidy, elegant and right for most neighborhoods.

The coastal: palms wrapped from the ground to the fronds. Nothing says Christmas in South Texas like a row of lit palms, and they can be seen from a long way off.

The full yard: roofline, windows, trees, garland at the entry and ground lighting along the walk. This is the house people slow down for.

The waterfront: on a canal or bay, the back of the house is a second front. We light the dock, the deck and the waterside roofline so the display is seen from the water as well as the street.

Professional installation or doing it yourself

Plenty of people hang their own lights, and for a small display that is a fine tradition. The reasons clients hand it to us tend to be the same every year.

  • Safety: no ladders, no steep roofs, no reaching over the edge of a second story
  • Time: no weekends lost to untangling, testing and climbing
  • Quality: commercial-grade product fitted to your roofline, with straight lines and hidden cords
  • Upkeep: if something goes out, you make a phone call instead of a trip to the store
  • January: someone else takes it down
  • Storage: nothing to pack, label or find room for in the garage

The process, step by step

  • Request a quote online or by phone. We respond within 48 hours.
  • We look at your property and talk through what you would like.
  • You receive a design and a written quote.
  • We schedule your installation date.
  • Our crew installs the display and sets the timers.
  • During the season, call us if anything needs attention.
  • After the holidays we take everything down.
  • Your display is stored with us until next year.

Coming back each year

Most of our clients return season after season. Because your display is stored between seasons, it goes back up the way you liked it, and you can keep it the same or add to it. Many people start with the roofline and add trees, greenery or the back of the house in later years.

Homes, businesses and neighborhoods

We decorate homes of every size, and we also handle storefronts, shopping centers, HOA entrances and city displays. If you want the season to carry indoors, ask about interior holiday decorating. And if you would rather never schedule an installation again, permanent app-controlled lighting stays on the house all year.

Holiday Lighting FAQs

Do you provide the lights, or do I buy them?

We supply everything: commercial-grade LED lights, timers, cords, clips and greenery. You do not need to buy or store anything.

What happens if a bulb goes out or a storm damages the display?

In-season maintenance is part of the program. Call us and we will come out and take care of it.

Do you take the lights down after the holidays?

Yes. Our crew returns after the season, removes the display and stores it for next year.

When should I book Christmas light installation in Corpus Christi?

As early as you can. Our installation calendar fills through the fall, and booking early gives you the widest choice of dates. Many returning clients confirm in late summer or early fall.

How much does professional Christmas lighting cost?

Every display is quoted individually because the price depends on the roofline, the number of trees and palms, the greenery you choose and access to power. Quotes are free, and we will design to the budget you have in mind.

Will the lights raise my electric bill?

Not by much. We install LED lighting, which uses a fraction of the electricity that older incandescent bulbs did, and timers keep the display from running all night.

Can you light palm trees and live oaks?

Yes. Wrapped palm trunks and lit oak canopies are some of the most effective parts of a Coastal Bend display, and they are a regular part of our designs.

Can the design follow my HOA's rules or a specific color scheme?

Yes. Every display is custom. Tell us about any HOA guidelines or the look you want when you request your quote and we will design within them.

Can I add to my display in later years?

Yes. Many clients start with the roofline and entry and add trees, palms or greenery in later seasons.

What areas do you serve?

We serve Corpus Christi and the surrounding Coastal Bend, including Portland, Rockport, Port Aransas, North Padre Island, Flour Bluff, Calallen, Robstown, Aransas Pass, Ingleside, Kingsville, Sinton and Alice.

What colors can I choose?

Warm white, cool white, multicolor and combinations such as red and white or red and green. Warm white is the most requested.

Do the lights turn on by themselves?

Yes. We supply and set timers so the display comes on and goes off automatically.

How long does installation take?

It depends on the size of the display. We will give you a timeframe when we schedule your installation.

Can you light the back of a waterfront home?

Yes. On canal and bayfront homes we light docks, decks and the waterside of the house as well as the street side.

Are you insured?

Yes. Showcase Decorative Lighting is fully insured.
