Lighting Portland Homes and Businesses

Portland is a family town. Much of it is built around Gregory-Portland schools, parks such as Sunset Lake and well-kept streets where neighbors notice each other's yards. That makes it one of the best places in the Coastal Bend for a holiday display: people are out walking and driving the neighborhoods in December, and a house that is done well gets seen.

The housing is a mix. Older neighborhoods near the bay have mature trees and long, low rooflines that suit classic warm white lighting. Newer subdivisions have taller, steeper rooflines with more peaks and gables, which look sharp when outlined but are exactly the kind of roof most homeowners should not be climbing.

Homes along the bayfront get the full force of the wind off Nueces and Corpus Christi bays. Displays there need to be secured with that in mind, and it is one reason our program includes maintenance during the season.

Christmas Light Installation in Portland

In Portland we most often light the roofline, the entry and the front-yard trees, then add wreaths or garland to give the house something to show during the day. On newer two-story homes, outlining the peaks and gables is what makes the display read from the end of the street.

If your neighborhood has an HOA or deed restrictions, tell us when you request a quote. Every design is custom, so working within a neighborhood's guidelines is simple.

Every holiday display we install in Portland includes:

  • Custom design for your property
  • Commercial-grade LED lights, timers, cords and greenery, all supplied by us
  • Installation by our own crew
  • Maintenance during the season
  • Takedown after the holidays
  • Storage until next year

Year-Round Outdoor Lighting in Portland

Game nights matter in Portland, and permanent lighting is the easy way to show it: Wildcat colors on Friday, warm white the rest of the week, red and green in December, all from your phone.

Bayfront and bluff-top homes are natural candidates for landscape lighting, especially uplit palms and soft lighting on patios that face the water. Bistro lighting over a backyard patio is one of the most requested additions in family neighborhoods.
